1.800eMail ISP Partner Program

1.800eMail, a national electronic mail service is planning to start an
ISP partner program first quarter 1997. We are seeking to establish a
partner in each major market area (multiple partners in cases of large
non-free calling markets) to allow 1.800eMail clients the ability to sign
up for a flat-rate, unlimited eMail service for $6.95/month.

The benefits for our partners are:

  1. A nationally known eMail service that has product currently in software stores such as Best Buy, ComputerCity, and CompUSA, as well as roll-out for WalMart and others this year.
  2. National advertising dollars, with ads appearing regularly in USA Today, and regional markets, as well as in flight magazines (this months American Airlines, and Northwest World Traveler!)
  3. No server or customer support impact as all account maintenance is on our server, and all customer service is handled by BPSI.
  4. $1/per month/per customer indefinitely.
  5. Average connect time with 1.800eMail is less than 60 seconds as it is a completely off-line eMail editing and reviewing system. ABSOLUTELY no TCP/IP access for unauthorized surfing is possible, as our client does not need or use TCP/IP stack.
  6. You may buy and resell our client software, and generate revenue from reselling markup. Average retail price is currently $19.95, with reseller pricing at significant discount. One time site licenses are available if you wish to duplicate your own diskettes, and "brand" the start-up screen with your local Name.
  7. Custom "Splash Screen" available to link clients back to partner for name recognition as well as leads for full dial-up access.

The requirements for participation:

  1. Your servers must allow for either radius authentication, or using a terminal server with local parameters, upon authentication, automatically initiate a binary (8 bit clear) reverse login to our servers in St. Paul. We recommend using Computone PowerRacks as the terminal server of choice.
  2. A customer will be defined by an 51% dial-in usage. IE: A client travelling through a city where you are located can use the local number, however, that customer will be considered from another ISP Partner if they only use your server less than 51% of the time for that month (in terms of number of calls). However, if their usage exceeds 80% for that month, then the revenue for that month would go to you.
